Anybody tried this short shifter before? It's a great price because for $225 it include the short shifter and their shift knob which I like. Seems like most people go with UUC or B&M but this one is a nice medium priced one. I didn't find anything on it through searching.

i would go with uuc because the understeer one still uses plastic bits. ITs a good price and quite tempting but id rather go with a higher quality. heres uuc's take on the matter

I have never heard of a understeer going bad and a lot of people on this forum have it.

I stock most of the UUC Evo3 kits too, free 2-day FedEx shipping on those :D

+2 on Understeer. After my stock lever snapped off, I ordered up the Budget SSK and couldn't be happier. The only differences between the Understeer and UUC are: 1.) The look, UUC looks nice, Understeer performs the same; and 2.) The adjustability of the UUC, after all it ISSSS a short shifter.....

I dont get it, I'm savin money and gettin the same results...no brainer.

the oem shifter uses plastic bits, mine is 130k miles old, and still performs great, the uuc uses a metal ball, i really doubt our e36 will outlast an ssk especially since most of us have 100k or more... the ssk is used from oem bmw parts also, no brainer, go with the ssk... you just wont have adjustability as stated above me

Gotta say, I'm a fan of the UUC one. I like the close-tolerance engineering and the high-quality components. I stuck the ZHP knob on top, it feels really nice and clean.
