Hi guys,

I recently picked up a 1997 328is 5spd, and am really loving it as a daily driver. I already picked up the M50 manifold and will be purchasing the conversion kit soon to slap that sucker on...

I had ESS (esstuning.com) custom write me software for the car. I used cartune to extract the original file and send it to them, and they send me the reprogrammed file back.

The problem is, when I try to write the file to the car, it gives me an error about voltage on DME pin 60, and fails to program. Then the car doesn't start until I pull the battery and put it back on... I had the car hooked up to a battery charger and verified that the voltage was atleast 13. Anyone have any ideas?

I know that on the AUTOLOGIC scanner that can reprogram/remap the ECU u need to have the "special" charger that supplys a true constant voltage the whole time as a battery charger apparently isnt up to the job, whether its like this for U i dont no im afraid
