I'm in Providence, RI and was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I could take my car to get the oil changed. There are no dealerships near here except a place called Inskip. Anyone know if they do a good job? Also, does anyone know of a shop around here as well where they work on BMW's and do a good job? Thanks

wassup, I'm in the Providence, RI area as well.
if you have a jack and jack stands I wouldn't mind helping you change your oil. otherwise you might want to try R&C Auto. It's a small shop out by Inskip but a former M3 owner recommended me there. Look for Dave or Rich, tell em the guy with the yellow M3 sent you, maybe they'll remember me.
I *think* their # is (401) 739-0896 from yellowpages.com, but I don't have their business card handy right now. If it's not the right one, get back to me and I'll look for that card.
Inskip is a great place, and I'm friends with one of the BMW salesmen there. Great guy, great place, but don't go there for an oil change. They'll probably charge you way too much.
Check your PMs.
You could also try RM Pro Tune in Central Falls, RI. The owners name is Rui and his # is 401.729.0307 If he won't help, I'll give you a hand sometime.
I'm in Fall River, MA... about 20 mins east of Providence. I've heard about a yellow M3 in Prov. I'm guessing that is AznLum's, what color is yours?

yea i have a dakar yellow, but I doubt the one you've heard of is mine. looks fairly stock, with the only visible mods being suspension upgrades and a Stromung exhaust...
but just in case, what HAVE you heard about this yellow M3 in providence? hehe
I hung out with a kid that goes to Johnson & Wales, he mentioned that he had seen a Dakar M3 sreaming around providence one night.
I've organized a Dyno day for Feb. 22nd, its being held in Fall River, MA everyone is welcome so if you have no plans you should swing by and meet some locals!

What's sucks is that I just got my car in Providence shipped from CA yesterday. I have to park it outside because I cannot find any other parking. On my first night, someone decided that it would be nice to rip off my passenger side mirror. So now it's dangling by the cord in it. Then they thought it better to take that mirror and scratch the side of my car with it. So now I have a dangling mirror and numerous scratches on my car right next to the mirror. I hate this city.
How much do you guys think it will cost to reattach the mirror and fix up the paint?
sigh...

Where are you parking your car (part of town)? I know a couple good body shops but it'll probably cost a lot to get the work done right, depending on how deep the scratches are. Insurance should cover vandalism though, without a surcharge increase.

i get my car washed at coachworks.
damn dude, how could you park your car outside in a city like this...especially with the current weather we're having. find some covered parking, get a car cover, or store it till the weather improves. i used to store my car at Center Place near the mall.
sorry to hear about your mirror...hope you get if fixed soon.
let me know if you need anything else.
