[This car sold on 3/28/07. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest.]

I'll be sad to see it go, but after a generous donation of a newer car from my father-in-law, I can no longer justify keeping this car too, no matter how fun it is to drive... The list below is largely copied from another listing I posted elsewhere, so sorry if some of the "features" are superfluous for the Bimmer-savvy crowd here.

1993 BMW 325is Coupe

5-speed Manual Transmission
190,000 miles (mostly highway commuter)
PA State Inspection good through July '07
Carfax History available

Car is located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Asking $3000
(Kelley Blue Book Values: $3260 "Good" / $2730 "Fair")

FEATURES:
Airbags, Anti-lock brakes (ABS)
Leather seats, armrest, & steering wheel
Heated seats and washer nozzles
Power seats, windows, mirrors, and locks
Sunroof (powered)
On-board computer
Sport Package
Sport seats
‘M’ Sport suspension
Limited Slip Differential
Cruise control
A/C & Heat with individual controls
CD Player
Full-size spare tire (and jack) in the trunkRECENT MAINTENANCE:
(all within last 6 months / 1000 miles):
NEW Kumho Front tires & front-end alignment (Rear tires ≈15 months old)
NEW Brakes (all 4 wheels):
Brembo rotors
Axxis ceramic pads
NEW Stainless Steel Exhaust (the TopSpeed model that was popular on here for a while)
NEW Belts
NEW Oxygen sensor
NEW Spark plugs
NEW Filters (air, fuel, & oil)
NEW Emergency Brake pads and hardware
NEW front lower bushings
NEW BatteryFront seats do show wear and there is the infamous "bubbling" on the door panels. I have been in the process of sprucing it up, but there are a few things that remain to be done (a new shift knob, for example). But I believe selling in Fair-to-Good condition is totally reasonable. I'm not trying to make a killing here, just trying to get some of my money back out of the car.

By popular demand, here are more photos of the cosmetic wear on the interior: the shift knob, the door panels (passenger side is worse than driver), and the seat leather.

To be perfectly honest, I really think the harsh flash makes this look worse than it really is! :shifty

Finally, there's a small ding on the passenger side door, but there's no paint chipping or further damage from it:

Sorry for the delay, and I hope that helps!

vanos or non vanos?

my understanding from reading on here is that the U.S. '93 325is is VANOS. if there's a way to verify that, let me know and i can check. sorry i'm not more literate on this...

does the bulge visible on the front of the engine block below indicate that it is indeed vanos? (i'll try and get a better picture if you tell me what exactly you need to see. again, sorry i don't know more about this.)

i don't have another pic right now that looks down from above, which is maybe what you want. but if it's true that early '93s are sometimes non-vanos just because they were actually produced in '92, then i can at least tell you the production date for this car is listed as June 1993. so maybe that lends further credence to the thought that it is vanos.
