I am parting with my 1997 BMW M3. 4 door, 5 speed. It is in great condition, very clean. Luxury package. Interior is in great condition, the leather and all plastic parts have been maintained meticulously. The wood grain is actually holding up quite nicely. I bought this car about 3 months ago from a guy in Northern Virgina and I am not in the position to maintain the car like it should be. I have extensive records documenting both maintenance prior to my ownership, and during it. Since I have owned it, I had the waterpump replaced, thermosat and housing replaced, radiator replaced, and power steering hoses replaced. I just recently brought it for an engine oil and transmission fluid change. It was also inspected during this visit. Look at my tag for any mods. Those particular modifications were performed prior to my ownsership. The body is in great condition barring one minor ding on the forward right part of the hood caused by what looks to be a rock. It has 140,000k miles on it. i have only put 1,000k on it since I have owned it. It was driven primarily on the highway during the weekend. I didn't want to drive the car to work, hence why I am selling it. It is too nice for me to drive to work it, and I dont have the patience to maintain two cars (my work car and this beast, hah) I have in my possesion all the original manuals and books, I even have the original invoice for the car. I am asking $11,000, but I am willing to hear any resonable offers. Pictures to come once I figure the picture thing out. Also, if you need any pictures of anything particular, feel fre to ask or P.M. me. Thanks,
Chris

What does the carfax show? Has it had any body or paint work?
Has the clutch been done yet, RTABs, LCABs?

PDWEBB,
Carfax is clean, I had one done when i bought the car. Everything checked out the way it should. Paint is original, no body work has been done to the car. It is unmolested in almost every sense. In terms of the clutch: I have no record of it having been replaced(which is odd because i have records going back years for damn near everything), but when i had the Pre-buy inspection done 3 months ago when i bought it, my BMW mechanic told me there was no way it hasnt been replaced, as that was a concern of mine as well. It feels fine, and I havnt had any problems with it. Anything else, feel free to ask.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do RTAB's and LCAB's stand for?

in response to your last pdwebb, i have no record of that maintenance being performed, however, the suspension of the car rides smooth and great. as i said, the car went through a dealership "pre-buy" inspection and they found nothing, but suggested i have cooling system maintenance and replace some power steering hoses. that was done there, and i have had no problems other than that.

Nice ride, if I can dump the 328I I might be taking a roadtrip.
How is the headliner on it, and is the phone built in? Would it make a trip to FL w/o any hiccups?

the headliner is perfect, i can get a picture of it maybe late tommorrow evening and email it to you(working like a dog the next day or so, hah). the phone is built in, i was going to remove it, but the console is ties into the cupholder(which is a perfect example of ingenious bmw engineering, lol). i bought the car about 3-4 hours from my house, and it was a beautiful drive back. i would predict no hiccups for a long drive like that. just set the cruise to 85 and roll. hit me back up if you have any more questions.
