i bought a Dinan chip and it seems to be very very small, not exactly sure if they are supposed to be that size, but does anyone know where abouts you find the place where your chip is to be installed. I have a 1991 e36 325i if that helps. Appreciate the help.

Your not giving much info here. The chip I'm assuming is a performance chip for your DME. Do you have a pic of the chip? Its going to be installed on your DME. Do you know for certain this chip is for your car? I wouldn't do anything until you answer all the questions. I believe you have an E30 325 if its a 1991 not an e36, unless its a late 1991 production 1992 model.

1) I guess its late model 1991 production then because it is a 1991 for sure and it has the e36 body.

2) Yes I know this chip is for my car for sure.

3) Where can I access the DME.

The DME is on the passenger side behind the firewall.

On the same subject, I'm sorry for the newbie question, but what are the actual benefits of having it (Dinan Chip)... I mean from those who have installed it already... Does it really make a big difference?

When I installed it on my 325 I could tell a difference. It wasn't a huge difference, but it felt like it had more power and pulled harder.
