I was cleaning my wheels and noticed a small bubble looking thing on the sidewall of my tire. I know that it's not very good, but what caused it and can I still drive on the tire? The tread is fine and not damaged at all and the wheel is fine.

Very likely you hit a pothole.
The tire needs to be replaced.

usually cuz you hit a good size pothole pr pump when driving at a highway or somthing. you can still drive the car the tire isn't damaged. sometimes the bubble will go away sometimes it won't. no biggie

Well the reason I'm asking is because the tire is a good amount of money and still has like 95% tread. If it's not going to go flying off on me or damage anything then I'll just wait to get it replaced (like when I get my tax refund) but if it was like an emergency type thing I was going to get it fixed right away.

Your tire is damaged, it should be replaced. Some people drive on tires like that for long periods of time with no problem, but its really just a ticking time bomb and your tire could let go at any time.

You should be covered by some type of road hazard or warranty from the manufacturer/dealer with the small amount of tread wear you have.
