Hey guys, so I purchased a 1992 E36 (black on black) back in January and it needed a lot of work (see full list below). The car has aftermarket glass depo lights up front, and euro clears in the back and looks pretty sharp for it's age. It is fully loaded with analog phone and everything . The previous owner also changed over to (Tokico) shocks all around, put in a new starter, and all new door locks, the radiator/waterpump were changed <2 yrs ago as well. He also changed the front brakes <10k miles ago.
Since then I,

Swapped in an M3 headliner
M3 muffler
High flow cats
New MP3 Sony Deck
Pioneer amp and sub.
Changed 4 speakers over to Pioneer and Kenwood, now all 10 work :).
Put on almost new michelin tires.
Painted the bottom part of the car all black vs the ugly grey.
Fixed the ripped leather on the Arm rest.
Attached the door panel, as well as some other interior panels.
Bought the two door handle shrouds

And of course performed a lot of maintenance.
Changed the coolant,
Oil, filter,
Transmission Fluid (red line)
Diff fluid (red line)
Cabin Air filter
Changed the valve cover/Spark plug gaskets,
Replaced a leaking PS hose
Put in new Bosch plugs.
Recharged the AC, now Ice cold.
New rear rotors, and brakes.

Car still has problems, like the annoying high pitched noise coming through the front right speakers, I don't know how to get rid of it. I ran an additional ground but it didn't help. It becomes more noticable with the stereo and lights on. Almost not noticable with the lights off.
There is also a tear in the driver seat, but not on the seating surface it is on the side.

Car has the desirable 5 speed. Currently at 195.5k miles. Everything currently works on the car. It needs NOTHING as you can tell I have spent an extensive amount of time and money restoring this car back up to spec.
I wanted to have a fun cheap daily driver.. (to keep the miles of my other car) but that caused me to really like the bimmer. So I am thinking about upgrading probably some time later on this summer. So I want to consolidate both my cars into one vs having 2. So I am probably thinking that I will get a E46 330CI or mayyybe M3 but they are still a bit too expensive and have questionable maintenance costs.

Price is 4k firm with the current stereo or $3800 with a stock stereo.

What's the clutch like? Original clutch? Or has it been replaced?

Clutch feels really good. Previous owner told me that it was replaced. I had a mechanic check the car the car out before I bought it and he saw no probs with it.

The noise you hear from the speakers is INTERFERENCE. Could be a few things. Power cable for amp has bad ground/small short.

If it has an aftermarket amp then it might be the power cable ran too close to the speaker wires. *Disconnect amp and see if pitch goes away*

Could be a bad/pinched +or- cable to amplifier, bad/pinched RCA's, bad +or- connection into radio from dash. If you re-ran any wires during install and it showed up...its the problem.

If all else fails PM me or go to Best Buy and pay $$$.

Only the Factory HU was changed out. I didn't re-route any wires. The new speakers utilize the factory wiring. And this noise was present and WORSE with the factory HU.

Did I miss the mileage?
yes you did, I stated 195.5k above.
