after slacking for a month i finally made a big improvement with the whole process.. polished lips.. 132 individually polished bolts.. cleaned inner wheels.. detailed the center weaves.. all thats left is reassembling the wheels / bolts after a couple more rounds of polishing the lips of course :D .. heres a preview..

Can I make some suggestions, because I've done it. Whatever polishing you do, or want to do, do it now.......trust me polishing the wheel with the bolts in sucks. Also be careful and do something to protect the bolts from rusting. For some reason my lip with just wax stayed perfect, but my bolts ended up looking a little nasty after a while. For polishing the lip, I would hit it with some sand paper until I got a hazzy mirror, and then go back with the mothers power ball for a good hour to make it insane.

Oh and you suck I can't even use style 5's, and now I want a set just to refinish them.

haha - funny that it's the first thing I got rid of on my E39, but they look pretty damn hot I gotta admit on the E36

Too bad, from what I gather it's difficult to get new fastening bolts?

The 5's look great. I just finsihed stripping the centre pieces- took forever. Did you refinish the centres and if so, where you able to find matching paint? Are you going to clear coat the polished lip?
