what is my final drive

ok guys flame me if you want, tell me to search if you must, but i have been searching for this all day and im probably an idiot for not finding it, but....

i have a 94 325is, as is my understanding it has an LSD. I need to know what my final drive ratio is or where i can find it. im so frustrated from serching...

ok i think i found it. i found 3.15 LSD can anybody confirm this?

my 93 325i has 3.15 LSD (so i've been told). it will have an "S" stamped on it for LSD, but I'm not real sure how to tell what the ratio is.

ok i think i found it. i found 3.15 LSD can anybody confirm this? It's 3.15 (if stock), no one can confirm whether it's a LSD or open (they came with both). If it has a metal tag that says S315 then it is an LSD...or check physically

IIRC most did not come that way....

Edit: If it's a manual...auto had a 3.91

No, the VIN won't help, unless there is a source for what came with the VIN, which I know of none. Sometimes under the rear seat they have a list of options. Search and you will find the code for LSD (assuming that the list is there...mine wasn't)
