I found a guy who can widen wheels. i saw some of his work on a BBS wheel. his welds look like art. I am thinking about widening my street wheels on my M3 to 10inches on the inside so I can run 265-285 tire in the back.
Anyone try this before?

Would he require 2 wheels to make one or make a new "center" piece after cutting it in half? I've seen both methods used successfully before.

How much is this procedure?

He uses one wheel and adds a piece based on the thickness of the alloy wheel. I saw a set of BBK RK's he widened to 10 inches for the rear..Looked really dam nice!!!
The welding was really really nice!
I may have mine done. Then I would have a firm price.

RKs are a strange choice to widen since they already come in 17x10 and 18x10.
BTW there is a guy in the z3 section that has 11" roadsters, you might want to check with him for more details.

They may not be RKs..I thought they were..They stopped making the 17x10's so he had them widened.
