View Full Version : Lowered too much...

I just bought a 92 325is, and the car is a little too low for me,especially since its being used in New Orleans, renown for its horrible streets. The camber is a little off on the rear wheels because of it as well. They are turned in. It has Eibach springs, I dont know what model exactly. My question is, is there some sort of spacer I can put in to raise it like 1/2 an inch? Or will I have to buy a set of stock springs? I would rather not, because I like it lowered, just not that much.

Mr. Gasket makes rubber coil spring spacers that can be used to make small height adjustments. I found some sold by Summit Racing here: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+400330+115+308932&autoview=sku

sounds like the toe is off, not the camber.

no I mean the camber, toe is the front and back of the tire, I am talking about when you look at the back of the car and the top of the tire is in towards the car more than the bottom.

I just checked and its in at the top too, I dont know if it has camber plates, where are they located? Does anyone know of and spacers that only lift like 1/2 inch? the only ones i find are at least an inch, and if what ive read about eibachs is correct, that would bring me back to stock riding height.

Wow, that is just way too low for me. Have to really pick on which road to drive over. My Eibach Prokit didn't lower my car that much and I already pick where I drive.

BMW makes rear spacer for the rear springs and they sell a couple of sizes. I think I have a new set at home (on the road now) that are about a 1/2" so check the realoem.com site out or go to circle BMW and ask the guys there. I bought mine there.
I would bet you don't have any camber plates front or rear. Best way to correct the front drop is a set of camber plates. Camber (how much the wheels are moved in at the bottom (negative camber) or out at the top (positive camber) is correctable with the plates.
Rear camber has an adjustment on the wishbones which are the proper name for the rear trailing arms. Look at the bolt that holds the wishbones tight at the bottom. You will most likely need to clean crap off the bolt and wishbone to see the correction marks. You can dial out most of the negative camber you have had in the rear doing this but the front, you need the plates.

why don't you black the side skirts and lower bumper parts?? they look kind of greyish compared to the black rims.. i bet it would definetly look better (blakc and white)..just a thought...

i say u need to color match the sideskirts... then dark tint the windows in order to tie in the wheels... gotta do something though :P

oh yea.. also that front license plate.. get the straight piece of trim.. i slapped one of those on and made me much happier.

Or get one of those fake euro plates for the front. Along with the painted skirts that would look awsome
