I would love for someone on Bimmerforums to get this baby! We have done all we could with her, now it's time for someone to enjoy all the hard work and Thousands that have been invested! Lots of photos on the ebay add. Serious buyers can come and see her in Orange County.

Over $90 grand invested on Mods and custom equipment not including the purchase price. Some one will get a steal!

Please contact us with any questions or to make an appointment for a test drive :redspot

Lets put it this way we left a lot of rubber at the dyno shop! :) The car drives very well and is tame under normal throttle. When you punch it make sure you are not on wet pavement!:nono

it says tranny is automatic. You may want to change it so people dont rule it out in their searches.

Well it is an SMG, so I guess it would be an automatic technically.

The type of transmission a car has is absolutely seperate from the "modes" that transmission opertates in. An automatic transmission is a totally different type of transmission period...it has nothing to do with the actual operation of the transmission.

Yes, I know...but the simple fact that it can be operated in the same fashion as an automatic was my point.

Even if it is just a manual trans with some acuators to shift gears, it still can operate like an auto

...well if you know then you wouldn't refer to it as an automatic

SMG = Sequential Manual Gearbox...and i know you know

I'm not here to argue about manual vs. auto, but "in my mind" in A modes, where it's choosing when to shift for you, that's an automatic. True the mechanics don't function the same, but most people searching autotrader don't care.
Oh and 314 "automatics" found on autotrader.

Still a nice looking kit and crazy car.

It's still an automatic if you don't have to depress the clutch yourself, regardless of the name. On eBay, all SMG cars sell in the "automatic" category. When people (including me) search for "manual transmission" BMWs for sale, they only expect to see full manual (stick shift) tranny cars in their results. Besides, BMW enthusiasts all know to look for "SMG" if they want one :)

Its not an automatic, and a clutch pedal doesn't make it manual either. It doesn't have a torque converter, thusly, not an auto. And there is a clutch, you just dont have the pedal.

So you are saying that all F1 drivers are a bunch of nancies that drive automatic cars :rolleyes

ok, there are autos and then they are clutchless manuals.
the SMG is not the former but the latter, a clutchless manual, plain and simple.

Its not a slushbox that you can shift when u want, its a manual that does the clutching for you. Period.

NOT AN AUTOMATIC.
BMW SMG or FERRARI F1 shift, all them others are autos, not them two.

This car is sooo sick!!!!

Very nice car!

Any upgrades to the fuel system? Timing control/management? Is it a RMS kit? How much more boost can the s/c make?

Very nice car!

Fuel trim is handled by a special version of the Split Second PSC and the additional Fuel injectors are also control by a Split Second computer. The car originally had a non functional RMS kit that was removed and a newly design supercharger kit is on the car. The only remain part that was kept from the RMS kit is the Carbon intake tube, ( had to be relaid up as it fell apart ) and the bracket (modified, RMS has a totally different bracket design now as well) that holds the blower to the car. The rest of the kit was totally manufactured and engineered by Axiom Tuning and Eurobahn Performance. I am very proud of that intake manifold it was developed early last year and was on this car at last years bimmerfest!

The car could go higher on boost but it would have to be re-fueled and tuned.

For those that may want to know what happend with the original kit on the car, the list is way too long to post but it was not pretty :(

Thanks for the info Jeff. Are the stock injectors being used currently? It seems like to me that a new fuel system with larger injectors and high pressure fuel pump can really open the motor up. How much boost can the s/c handle?

The car has slightly larger injectors in the standard rail and then we are using an excellent injector for the after cooler set. The car could be raised probably to 16 or 17 psi with the on board equipment but it would be very hard to drive I think!

Whats your asking price?

WE are asking a starting bid price of $58000 on ebay. Of course there have been a couple of offers by folks who don't want to g through the ebay system the current high bid is 58,800. I would have liked to see the car go for around 62-65 but the owner has purchased other vehicles and wants it sold so somebody is going to get the steal of a lifetime.
