Hey guys,

I'm no car savant so please bear with me. I have a 1998 BMW 328i. A few weeks ago, my car was having problems starting and was suggested a battery change. I went ahead and got the battery changed only to find out today that i'm having the same problem. I go to start the car, but it doesn't even crank(?).. What could be the problem? It's hard to find a reliable or even honest repairman. Anyways, if anyone has been in this situation, please let me know.

Here's a quick synopsis:

-Car alarm won't activate (doors won't lock/unlock)

-I can turn the key to a specific spot and get a very faint red light from what I think is the accessories light

-Car won't start at all

-No electronics working.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks in advance for the help. My first guess since nothing works is that yo uhave either not connected the battery properly or the cables are bad, or there is corrosion on the cable clamps. Check the connection.
