shocks/struts same as coupe?

I thought I remember reading that the suspension was different in the vert, but I can't find any relevent posts. Are the shocks/struts the same or different in my 97 328 convertible as the coupe?

I believe the shocks/struts are the same, but the springs have different rates. Actually, I believe BMW uses several spring rates across the E36 line, depending on options the car had from the factory.

Stiffer springs and I think the shocks are the same, but I'm sure stiffer shocks would also help since our cars are so much heavier, ....

ahhhhh thanks guys... after I stumbled on another thread, I found that I must have read that the TI is different. It was a long time ago after all :)
