I have my hands on some 24lbs injectors and some ideas. Have any of you taken your stock electronics and put them in a 3" piece of pipe making you entire intake system 3" and putting in 24lbs injectors and seeing what it would do?
I am going to try this with out any electronics upgrade other than my currect Jim Conforti chip and see if it helps.
I took out the "intake air warmer" and just bolted a K&N to the Air flow meter and took the coolant from the throttle body. I then replaced the cats with straight pipe and removed the two into one piece of pipe that has the ding in the side of it restricting the flow from two 2" pipes into one 2" pipe, I replaced it with a straight 3" piece.
The increase was mostly noise but it sure smoothed the power curve across the board. Before I had alot of low end then it flattened out and kicked back in at 5000rpm then nosed over at about 6500rpm. It feels alot stronger and with the UUC exhaust it is pretty loud but I like it. The car has no surges of power any more but it still noses over at the high rpm's I feel like it is running out of fuel with the stock injectors, and based on all the injector vs horsepower calculators I have seen the stock injectors will not provide sufficient fuel for over 250HP.
What do you guys think?
