Only if you need an all sesaon tire would they be worth it. If it is just wet and dry they would not be worth the extra.
If I can help let me know.

being in Jersey, the unknown is always the factor. i can drive from central jersey where it's raining to north jersey where it could transistion to sleet to snow... and that's not dead of winter either. that could be 4 weeks from now when spring suppose to be here!
can you work with me on the price? those are the best prices i found online for those tires and it's not a fly by night operation either. they were recommended from other boards (vette i think... nsx... etc etc)
Thanks jim!

There are equal tires for less than half the cost of those. Pilot Spot A/S and KDW2's aren't really designed for the same use. I just picked up some Falken ZE-512's for the stockers on my new 540. We rarely get snow here, but tons of rain. So far the tires are fantastic and have far exceeded what I would have expected. I debated long and hard between these and the Micheline Pilot Exalto's. Falken's won because of the price (half).

What size tires do you need? I can check and see what is available and maybe find a better option at a better price.

275.35.18 Ultra High Performance All-Season or Ultra High Performance Summer.
i like the KDW's because they are summer tires which has a relatively high wear rating (though these numbers aren't regulated). i am currently running the A/S and love them with the grip and everything else but they rub. plus side for the A/S is they will work with me incase i get cought in some freak weather.

The Yokohama is the widest contact patch that I have listed but the section width is the same as the RE960AS.
