Tinting the vert

So I've had my car for a while now and I noticed that the ragtop on it is not a factory replacement, ie no zipper for the back window that I can find.

So my question is if I wanted to get my windows tinted would I have any options to tint the back window without buying a whole new top? Also how bad would a car look without the back window tinted? Anyone have pics?

I don't think you can coat the folding plastic rear window.

Other people on here already tried.

I heard some places have a tint spray but can only be used if your plastic window doesnt fold in half. Also on ebay some people sell full convertible top replacements for about $400 and includes a plastic window of your choice - clear, grey, or chorcoal. search the ebay seller name "zoomin19"

Cool thanks for the responses all. and yeah Palomino it does look just fine without the back tinted. or could even do that then when it's time for a new top get one with the tint built right in.

Only '98 and it's an aftermarket? How about spray painting it with very light tiny paint.

I ordered a replacement window from the Emiata guys. Fitment is great and I opted for the tinted window to match my side windows.

coupes and sedans would look weird with tinted sides and non-tinted rear, but i think verts can get by since their tops are continuous sheet metal with the rest of the car.

my sides are tinted but not the back....it looks ok!

Just keep your top down and you will be fine :)

mines got super black tint on the front and sides and look okey with the rear clear but still would be better with the rear tinted cant wait:) even with the top down the tinted front looks okey.
