Have you guys ever ran your M3 without the exhaust attatched around town? I wanted to try it sometime just to see how loud it would be compared to stock exhaust and aftermarket, and maybe pull up to some ricer and rev the shit out of it to scare the little kiddies. Are there any negatives besides maybe a cop pulling me over? Even though the American cars can be loud as all hell and nobody would care. That still bothers me to this day:mad: Anywho, if its a really bad idea give me the heads up before I try it. By the way I have stock exhaust thats why I wanted to hear it without anything on.

well, you should probably just disconnect behind the cats where the exhaust donut sits... think there are 4 bolts, and you have to line them up right so they can all be accessed with an airtool ;). just remember what positions they are in.

don't know if you might have a greater chance to rip the catalytic converter hangers below the drive shaft since the exhaust helps to hold up the cats in a way.

cheers,
john

Wait, so if he took out the exhaust, there would be NOTHING there after the cat?? No muffler or anything? So if I saw his car, no tips or anything would be sticking out from the rear of the car, it would be as if there was nothing ever there???
