OK, guys, I have searched every thread here on Seibon hoods, and done google image, the only pics I find of their hood (the one with the big ass vents in it) are off the car. Does anyone have this hood, do you have pics of it on the car? I assume all the vents are benificial. Ive seen some e46's with what looks like this hood at a meet I went to, and they looked pretty good color matched. Thanks guys

I have a buddy that purchased a Siebon CF Hood for his G35 Coupe and he said the quality sucked... Very thin in the corners and cracking of the clearcoat 2 weeks after installing. They would do nothing to help him out from what i understand so he is obviously very displeased... My 2 cents..

Wow, that sucks. I was hoping that they were decent hoods (they cost enough) Thanks for the input

my buddy has both an oem style seibon hood and hatch on his civic and the fitment was near perfect. I will be picking up a seibon oem style for my M when my taxes come back:) The place he deals with has them for 490 shipping I believe.
Let me know if you find it cheaper in the mean time though:)

just so you know (i know this has nothing to do with seibon), but vorstiener just announced a vented carbon fiber hood for the e36... judging by the responses on the products for the e46s, the fitment should be pretty good. Just letting you know about some other options in case the seibon hood is too hard to find.

I installed a Seibon OEM style hood on a friends car a couple weeks ago and I wasn't very inpressed with the quality or fit of the hood considering that Seibon is supposedly a reputable name brand... When I installed the hood without any modifications to the hinges the fit looked like complete crap. It front was noticable sticking out past the nose panel. I got it to fit decently after grinding the holes in the hinges about half an inch so I could slide the hood back enough to get it to look right.

That should be interesting, hopefully it will be cheaper than the $1500-1700 bucks that they ask for their e46 vented GTR hoods. It wouldn't make sense to buy a Vorstiener for that price considering we have the super light MA Shaw GTR hoods for considerably less that what VRS charges...

Yeah I would have to agree with everyone here also. I have seen most all carbon fiber hoods for our cars and the best ones by far are the M.A. Shaw's. Seibon is very crappy fit and tend to fade. I even saw one that had the weaves very wrongly laid, they were all wavy and with some minor air bubbles in the clear.
Like I said before I have a used Carbon Fiber hood(forgot brand)but not Seibon, I want to get rid of and I also have an M.A. Shaw CF hood and CF trunk for sale. They are BRAND NEW never installed, if anyone is interested.
