A little soft, and the saturation and contrast is a bit high, the sky looks good though. Next up Pshoping power lines out

As you can tell, I really didn't have anything to work with. The picture was taken quick, no tripod, and the camera could have been better. Capturing the green in my paint is very hard to do. I just wish I had access/owned a DSLR... :(

Not bad, but it looks like you cut the detail out of the building. When you bring out detail with 2 things, it will look that much better. Also, the telephone poll adds depth if you ask me.
As for the camera, it's a Casio Exilim EX-Z40. It's just a basic pocket sized digital camera that can do 4MP. Nothing fancy.

the poll and powerlines are an obstruction and kill the shot... but to each there own.

Exactly... Hmmm.
Here is a 2nd run of "The Reaper". The Reaper really needed a darker theme.

Some interesting takes on the original pic there. Photoshop is great, I gotta start getting back into the tutorials so I can attempt to actually make something semi decent one day.

Didn't use the dodge tool....It looks fine on my monitor but maybe not on yours.

I need to figure out how to bring out a color like so:
http://www.ruji.net/store/images/bmw_330ii_02_preview.jpg
There has to be a filter or layer that will do this... Hmmm.

Sorry, but it is very uneven and patchy.
Robstah - That's Ruji - most likely a variety of layers and combos. Most simple explaination would be to sperate the car from the background and work on each individualy.

Yah, I think it mainly has to do with original quality though. As for Ruji, I definitely know him. I have 3 of his posters. :D

heres mine. you mentioned something about bringing out the BG so I had a go at that. I used Bsaint's sky. I could've done better, but the pic was hard to work with.
