View Full Version : Carpet Velcro Tab Install Help

Folks, just got in my factory M3 carpets.
Wanted to know how you folks are installing the velcro tabs into the carpet? Didn't want to screw anything up.
By the way, what's up with the quality of the new carpets???:eyecrazy
I remember the last set I bought for my E39 was heavy and really looked like plush carpet. The ones I got now look like the cheap stuff you find on Ebay (or close to it) and is very light!!! Am I missing something here or is BMW just selling some cheap carpet? Didn't Lloyds used to make the OEM?

I just remember popping the old ones out, and pushing the new velcro spots in. Pretty simple. And I got mine off ebay, but they were great quality. A LOT heavier than my first set I got off ebay, which was cheap as shit.

These have screw heads on the bottom of the pads. Needed to make a starter hole.
Any chance you could PM me the link where you got your mats?
