I broke a velocity splitter so I replaced those with an authentic Reiger Cup Lip (fake m3 gt or m3 ltw lip).

No one, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY, has these in stock but namotorsports dot net have them BARND NEW for only 189 (cheaper than anyone else has these lip ON SALE!

anyway, the same day I changed my oil, replaced my power steering hose, replaced the fittings on the hose next to it, cleaned my knn air filter, and drained/ changed my ATF fluid. so...

Hey where did you get you're bumper, mirrors from the GB. Also what size are the wheels they look nice.

That looks really nice! I hope you can manage to keep it in good shape.
I know that between speed bumps and being forced to enter driveways fast sometimes, (to avoid being rear-ended) would be the end for me.

If you didn't already do this, i would actually remove the front bumper and install it using actual nuts and bolts w/ as wide a washer you can. When i first installed my ltw lip extensions, i originally just used the little clips that hold the oem lip in place. Yeah that proved to not be nearly strong enough. I later replaced them w/ bults/washers/ and nuts. This proved to be completely sturdy. They weren't going anywhere after that.

This would be your best bet to make sure driveways, speed bumps, parking blocks, and debris in the road don't rip that thing off, sending it right under your tires.

Looks good though. I'm definitely getting myself one whenever i get my next e36 M3.

sexy, but I wouldn't install one those because of the _evil_ speedbumps here :(

This guy speaks the truth. Thats how Im running mine currently, and that thing isnt going anyway. Its also tough a nails. Ive had mine for about 6 months. As long as your careful and always....ALWAYS concious that you have a lip that low you'll be fine.

What reiger part number did you order?

From namotorsports dot net the part # is RI49018. But some companies have it listed under just 49018, but those companies dont have it in stock though, and sell it for more- Trust me I tried everywhere

haha. I know, half of the forums have AR1's anyway

mine is pretty tough im sure if you installed it right it will be too

I did. I used all the screws/ washers/ clips (like 16 of em) that it came with, along with the metal support bar. I had the car on ramps/ jack stands anyway cuz i changed my oil and powersteering hose

you know what you should do with the lip? go buy some fiberglass cloth and fiberglass resin and line the inside of the lip w/ 1-2 layers of the cloth and resin. it will become a little heavier, but much more studier. I did this to my lip when i first recieved it because i thought it felt rather flimsy and soft, and it's been holding up great since. my car is relatively slammed as a Daily driver as pictured in my sig. that's just my 2 cents.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to slightly modify this thing to work without the OEM lip? My car is pretty low as is and if I were to mount it to the factory lip it would only be 1" from the ground.

xjeeper
02-15-2007, 02:55 AM
Yeah, could this work with the factory m3 lip removed??

Also, can you feel any difference in stability at higher speeds? Can you tell it is on there and functioning?
