I need new tires for my 540 and am really considering the contisportcontact 3's. What do you think. Are they comparable to the ps2's? Thanks.

lightest tires avaialable I belive 20lbs or so for 18s. Contis are solid tires, great in the summer and in the rain. Which is pretty important from where you're located at. Thinking about getting a set myself.

Im sure theyre good considering teh R&D that went into developing them, but from my experieces continental tires always have one big flaw. I ran 17inch contisport1s on my e36 for a while, good quality tires but those things lack grip. My abs would go crazy any time i needed to stop or brake aggressively for a turn.
The contisport2s gripped well, but wore too fast. The sidewalls were way soft too making for a smooth ride but that wasnt what i was going for. Hopefully the contisport3s have improved, im sure they have.

Thanks, I already read those and don't neccessarily trust them (who know what their credibility is??)
I am think ing about these instead of the PS2's, think it's worth it?? It will only be about $150 difference if I go with the conti's. The tread pattern is very similar among the 2 tires (don't know about compound much though).

I personally would rate the PS2's far better than the Contis, although the contis will last lnoger :D
