Well 6 years ago when I was 17 I had a 96 mustang GT. I saved up 2000 dollars over the summer and borrowed 6000 from my dad. I did landcaping and was able to afford it that way. It was an awesome car for a junior in high school. It was black with tinted windows and those black headlight covers over the lights which came with the car. But i put 20000 thousand miles on it then sold it, I was your typical 17 year old with a fast car, thought I was the shit, did a lot of burn outs, drove way to fast, had a few close calls. Never got a ticket in it :cool, I got pulled over in it twice for speeding. I was going away to a police academy and had the balls to mention that and they always gave me warnings. Well im making this to long, point is i was a jackass half the time in my car and never miss shifted and i had a tight steeda shifter. And you live with your parents so how much food do you have to buy again? 3000 is a fair price. When you think that a engine rebuild or used engine will cost at least 2500 if you do the swap or re build your self, then you add a new suspension at least 500 in parts, another 500 for brakes, another 500 for a used transmission, im sure you managed to fuck that one up, and lets add another grand for the unexpected.

Your talking 5000 dollars in parts at a whole sale discount (which i get, ya its nice) plus labor if you are unable to do the work your self. Now with your asking price of 4500 that comes to 9500 for a car with 175,000 miles. Id rather take the money and have to wait 3 or 6 months and get some thing for 8 grand with a 130,000 miles and has been owned by some one a little older.

This isnt the M3 that was for sale in Michigan a few months back for 5000 dollars from the second owner that bought it with 30 some thousand mile in 1998 is it? Cause it needed suspension and brakes, i missed it by one call :mad! It would make me sick if you were the dousch bag that bought this great deal and destroyed it with in 24 hours.

If you knew more about business you would know that yes your persona does directly impact business transactions. Especially when you are selling something you used. This looks a lot like a car i was wanting to buy but missed. Theres not many 95 black M3's with 17000 + miles on them for sale in Michigan. Also it need brakes a rear suspension and also a turn signal switch. So if it is the same car, he paid 5000 dollars for it, and bought it from the second owner who had it since 98 when he bought it with 38,000 miles
