M3 Rim questions

I want to say thanks in advance for looking at my thread and thanks again for those who answer. I searched to try and find the answers I seek and gave up. Too much information on this website!(Thats a good thing sometimes). Here is whats up. I have a 2001 330ci sport pkg, and has the 17x7.5 M Wheels (i think) that come with that package. I want to put the E46 M3 wheels on my car. These are my concerns and questions:
1. Will they fit without modding?
2. Will they rub?
3. What is that style called or numbered?
4. Where could I get a set of 4 with tires?
5. What tires would I want fitted on them?
6. Is this a completely bad idea?

Since no one has any insight for my newbidiocy. I'll make it easier.

Would buying these and getting tires mounted to them work. Also would I regret it?
