April 7th I'm leaving on a road trip to Key West. What I need your help with... Start posting up some really good places to take pictures off I-95. I want to make a photo journal deal of the whole trip down. I think it would be kinda cool seeing the scenery and climate changes from one image to the next...
SO! If you know places not too far off I-95, between Jersey and Key West... Let me hear it! :evil2

You can come back north a little and take a picture and get all the oil refineries in the background. :rofl Cmon how cool would it be to have the HESS refinery in your picture. lol

Unless you're willing to move OFF 95 a fair bit, I'd say you're in for a dull drive until you get to Savannah, GA and south of there.
You're in the ball park I took my Six when I picked it up - from Boulder, CO to Cary, NC (your drive is 22+ hours by Google Maps, mine was 26+). Three days of pretty leisurely driving, two pretty hard, or four fun. If you have time for fun, I might grab 29 around the DC area (surely some cool shots in DC) and go through Charlottesville. Nice town and a nice drive down through to NC. Catch 85 to Charlotte - some nice downtown vistas there, maybe over to ATL and take 75 from there and cut over in Orlando (pic with Mickey!) back to 95 for the finish.
Once you pass Richmond on 95 South, things are pretty bleak until you get to Savannah - South of the Border is a total dump. Downtown Savannah is a really cool and beautiful place. You could get a shot on Forrest Gump's park bench!
Another thought (and would be my route if I had the time) is go down 81 to Asheville NC (11 hours by Google Maps) and get pix at the Biltmore (and I bet the scenery on 81 is MUCH nicer than 95!). Then kick down 28 which will take you within 10 minutes or so of the BMW Zentrum Museum and factory in Greer, SC, then through Columbia and hook up w/ 95 again close to Savannah. Asheville to Key West is 15 hours. If you could chop that trip into 4 days (lots of time in Biltmore, BMW Zentrum, Savannah and some FLA stop), I bet you wouldn't regret it.
Looking forward to seeing the pix!
