'91 318is/24v

Snapped these in Virginia this weekend; car is dirty as usual!

This is my '91 318is that I purchased when I was 15, and as you can tell the body is pretty rough after 315,000 miles of use. It now has a 3.0L stroked M50, Spec E30 suspension pieces, and some other goodies. It's my daily driver and will get over 30mpg on the freeway if driven gently!

After getting stuck behind a salt-truck for ~15 miles on I-85 last week!

FWIW - Badass sleeper! I had a 318is I was dying to drop a S50 motor into. But, ended up with a 95 M3 instead. My old 318is is now making the GGC auto-x circuit in it's 2nd life.

Youtube is off in terms of sound as I've uploaded other car videos and noticed that. Stu's dad is the builder of builders when it comes to BMW engines so I know his engine must be very strong running. I had his same car but with a stock S50 so his acceleration seems spot on for the power it had over mine.

The motor is a stroked M50 using 3.0L M3 rotating assembly, stock M3 cams with a worked M52 head casting. No cat, euro MAF, modified chip and adjustable fuel pressure tuned on a Dynojet.

LuxoM3-- I probably have some black ones, but as you can tell I don't much care how the car looks. The rattle can has been used in a lot of places! :D Maybe I'll switch the zipties out at some point.

MikesE36--The Ireland springs sit a good bit lower in the front, the rear is somewhat lower. I have thick spring pads in the rear after problems with turn-in with the spring pads removed (~.5" lower).
