I just replaced my cd changer with the ipod integration. My car is a 97 540i with the DSP audio and the cd changer worked great, never any issues. The previous owner howerever, did misplace one of the sleeves for the cd magazine, so i've just been using it as a 5-disc changer :( I'm including the brackets, screws and even the little DSP cable to bolt it into your E39.
