Idrive question

Had the 330i for over a year now... just had the recall done... somehow it now does not pair up with my bluetooth phone right away, which is a real pain in the ass.

On another note... is there a way to search for the name of a business in Idrive? For example... if i want to find a "Target", enter in the name and have it return the closest match?

Bluetooth has been a problem since day 1. get used to it.

no, i don't think there's a way to search for the name of a business. not sure though, I think it's mainly addresses.

No specific way to search the "Target" point of interest.

First method is to:
1) Select "Information"
2) Select your location: "On location" for example or you could choose on another destination to look somewhere else
3) Then you select "Restaurants", "Hotels" etc. to narrow it down.
4) It will then give you a list of businesses under that category.

I admit it is not the most efficient way to do it. I generally look up locations before I leave...but for on the go, if you have a cheap txt messaging service on your cell, just send a txt to Google SMS (mobile.google.com) like "Target, NY, NY" and it will return all the targets in the area with addresses and phone numbers...next they need to integrate that into iDrive. But life isn't perfect so, I'll live without it for now.
