When you all press the button on the fob, does the trunk pop open? Or does it just unluck it? It used to pop a little on my 2004 325xi...not really a significant pop open on the new 328xi, unless something is wrong with it...
Thanks

it will release the latch so you can pull it open. it's not really going to spring open unless you have some superman trunk struts.

for a couple of seconds to get it to go...it is not a quick push like the door locks...maybe on purpose so you are not accidentally popping open the trunk?

Pressing the unlock button on the key fob (not sure if once to unlock the driver's side door only includes the trunk, or a double press will be needed to unlock all doors and trunk) will unlock the trunk and you would have to use the button under the trunk lid to release it from the latch.
Pressing the trunk open button on the fob will unlock and pop ajar the trunk.

It's about a 2 second hold to make the trunk pop. If you have the alarm system, you need to be precise because the trunk release button is also the "panic alarm" if you hold it down a second too long. :shifty

The trunk will not swing up and open like the e60 does.

This is important.
