What did a nice paint job cost you?

Ok for an e36 coupe, what did you pay and what did you specify?
How many qoutes did you get (out of pocket work)?

mine is pearl black.....2500 for paint (2coats, 1coat of clear) and minor body work

Price of paint has gone up in the past year or two... I had a friend in the business paint my miata, cheapest he could manage was $1800. (2color, 3 clear i think?)
