I want either SO3s or Mich pilots for my stock wheel 98M3. My tire salesman told me they are discontinuing the SO3s. He then proceded to try and sell me what he was calling a replacement the 050. Any info on this would be appreciated.

Okay thanks. He also quoted me $1158 for the 4 tires installed. Thats 245 40 17s and 225 45 17s with road hazard. I think I might do better online with a local install.

Wow. I was just thinking that mabye it wouldn't be that much cheaper to buy the tires online, and I should just get them locally for convenience. At those prices, its much cheaper to get them online.

most places will price match tirerack. you just need to ask. look for a local ntb. i know they price match.

Its true, the RE050 is a better tire than the SO3 anyways....

Thanks VHS I didn't know that. I went to Sams today and they quoted me $1002 complete for the Michelin PS2s I will probably go that way. Unless someone can say there is better out there.

Costco still has their 60 dollars off a set of 4 deal going if that's an option for you. Only options are Michelin and BFG's though. I just picked up 4 KDW2's for less than 600 installed. RE50's worth 400 more?
