17" wheels, black with a machined lip will go on soon. I like the bronze idea, but gotta do it with a classy wheel. IMO no Jap wheels will go well with an E34. Need BBS, etc.

Vogtland springs and koni adjustable sport shocks. By far the best riding lowered car I have ever driven. It is around a 2" drop and still drives like a dream. The shocks are pricey. $350 for fronts shipped and like $330 for rears. I believe the springs go for around $200
Mine is in the body shop until mid Feb. I will take a ton of pics after I get her back with my new Canon digi.
I am going to document the reupholstering of the headliner, parcel shelf, and pillars in black suede as well.

Hmm, Are they the sport springs? Its says they drop 1.6" front and .8 in the rear and they are only for e34 525i and 528i.....
RVAE34
01-26-2007, 01:34 PM
I believe they are the sport. Other people have said that Vogtland claims a more subtle drop than the actual dimension. I assure you the drop is right at 2"

You know my car pretty well lol.. No jk. . . 17's would make more sense on paper, but i think on our big cars they look really wimpy.. I mean I used to think that 17's were BIG back when I was hangin around a bunch of little civics, accords, and integras.. But when you take a look at this whale of a car [well its not THAT big but you know] I think its 18 and up... Performance wise no, but I spend more time looking at my car and getting looked at than i do testing out the suspension. imo

Would anyone who does Photoshop please modify and post pictures of an alpine white E34 but with all the black trim (side moldings, grill, rocker panels, shadowline, etc.) changed to midnight or navy blue?
I'm curious how this would look. Years ago, Lincoln Mk V came out in a Bill Blass edition with white and navy trim, a really beautiful land yacht, as they go. So, anybody handy with Photoshop, may I ask this favor, pls.?
PS: Pls. include clear corner lights and at least 16" wheels.

I couldn't find the white with blue trim car exterior pics, but this is the interior....to be clear, this is the look you are interested in recreating?

Uh, no.
Not quite.
I had in mind standard BMW alpine white exterior paint but with navy or midnight blue color on the side moldings, etc. instead of the stock black. BMW did a number of alpine white cars (including E24, E28, E34, etc.) with blue leather interior. White and blue generally seem to look good together, so I wondered about blue exterior trim. Blass did that combination about 35 years ago and I'm told the cars are now collector items.
