Recently, someone posted that you could get Toshiba HIR 9012 low beam bulbs for $9.99 each at any John Deere dealer as that's what is used in its 9000 series tractor, bargin!!!

Well, I inquired at my local JD dealer and they out of stock nationwide. Why? Because it appears Ford Explorers, various Toyotas and Chevys all use the same bulb, and when word got out, there was a quick dash to the nearest JD dealer.

When I inquired about new stock, I was told that they expect it in around March 3, 2007 at the NEW PRICE OF $23.99! Further, looking at JD parts online, and the new list price is $29.99!!!

So for all those who got in at the bargain price, enjoy. At $24-30 per bulb, I guess I'm sticking to my stock bulbs, sigh....

stock bulbs are still awesome at disbursing the light. If you want an upgrade get the euro/city lights...

think you missed the point. This is/was an excellent upgrade for stock late model e34s low beams. The stock beams are just not very good. High beams seem very good.

Heck man, most every car in the last 10 years in the US uses that size bulb... I just got my old DSM headlights back from the new owner for free so I can swap the modded 9005 bulbs into my BMW... all my DSM guys have that link in their favorites list... :)
