The Engine is one of the lower milage ive ever seen that why i bought this one. 27,000 miles..... The cleanest ive ever seen. i would like to try to sell the engine package complete if possible.....engine with gt/3.2 intake funnels,CAI,ceramic coated headers, AA software and custom exhaust.( engine should be 320 to 330 hp with mods) harness, oil cooler , overflow, lines hoses included, cluster, You need the cluster .....the engine cost me 6500, intske funnels, $400, ceramic coating $400,

im sure theres lots ive missed there is only more......plus all the hours......to start from scratch you see how fast it hits $40,000.

How much are you thinking on the engine/transmission combo? Or just the engine alone. If you are to part it, can I assume the engine woudl come with the complete harness/ECU/everything to make it run?

Thanks!

I'm right next to you in New Mexico.

I would trade you this Motocross.com Team race bike for the engine pkg..

I also have a nice 1996 328is Sport/winter pkg. I would love to trade that and the bike for the full car.

Just another Option for you :)

I'm going to put my story out there. Having been around this board for awhile, I'd like to think that I am an honest person and when I've sold stuff, I even offered refunds to unsatisfied members and gotten burned by other members....

A year ago, I paid for a Euro 6 speed tranny w/ driveshaft, tranny brace, and UUC EVO II SSK. After finally getting everything about a month and a half later, I had everything installed by Autolab LLC in Louisville, KY. The owner called me and told me that it has been installed, and that there was an issue because the 6 bolt flange connecting the driveshaft to the diff had seized and that I would need a new one....great....but also that I needed to come test drive the car because he didn't think it was safe and to for me to make the decision after driving it. I drove 45 minutes to the shop and test drove it and found to my disgust that the car was absolutely unsafe to drive. I HAD TO SEARCH FOR EVERY GEAR!!!! I could not properly do a 1-2, 2-3, 4-5 shift because I had to search for the gear. I could find reverse and 6th gears because they were the farthest apart. I always had to make sure I wasn't in reverse when I wanted to be in 1st gear. I returned the car to the shop and told the mechanic to reinstall my 5 speed because it was just not safe to drive as is.....

I contacted Greg about my issue. I spent $1400 to have the tranny installed and removed and my 5 speed reinstalled. I told Greg about the issues and that I wanted my money back for the tranny and HE AGREED to give me a refund minus the shipping costs. I said fine. He told me of his financial issues and I have been patient with him. I kept in contact with him and he has done the same for the most part, but now we are at a year later and I still have his tranny, etc. ready to ship to him, but have not received my money back.

I started a thread on this forum about what the issues could be and two members, both with experience with the euro 6 speed (owning and rebuilding them), told me that I had a Euro SMG tranny, and not a manual....

That is a horrible story, I wonder if the seller knew he had an smg. Even if he didn't know, you brought it to his attention and he still hasn't paid you back and if I'm not mistaken he's ignoring another buyer about a refund and payment as well. I'm embarrassed to say he lives near me too.

SMG trannies are no good for manual shifting.

hotshu
02-28-2008, 06:14 PM
Why? Isn't the SMG just a manual transmission with a motorized shifter added?

With an SMG engine, you need not worry about it being revved past redline on a mistaken downshift.

Apparently not. I can't for the life of me remember the member's name that said he could rebuild it into a manual tranny for me, but he said one of the good things is that this tranny hasn't been "shifted by man" since its an SMG and the tranny should be in better condition than a regular manual. Having said that, I wish I kept all the PMs between the seller and myself.

Well guys, here is my side of the story. I bought a euro motor from the Greg along with a custom exhaust about a year ago. After months of constant inquiries about the shipping he finally shipped the motor along with parts of the exhaust & told me that he would ship the rest of the exhaust separately.

After months of waiting & trying to contact him he finally responds stating that he's currently in a very hard financial situation & cannot afford to ship the rest of the exhaust. I understood & out of kindness I sent him the money for the shipping. However, 2 months have gone by with just excuses of how the exhaust is too large to ship, so I told him to cut it & repackage it. He confirmed that he had cut the exhaust on 2/22/08, but I haven't heard back from him since.

Bad thing is that I have a person who has already purchased the exhaust & only has the part that I shipped to him!:mad Greg, confirmed with me that he would ship it out to the buyer before the buyer even payed. But guess what, the guy is still waiting for the rest of the exhaust & has been for the past 2 weeks. Now I’m the one that looks bad.:nono

Right now, all I want is the rest of the exhaust shipped to the person that bought it asap, but it seems that Greg is unwilling to make that happen.
Aaron, if I can get a hold of Greg & tell him to give you the rest of the exhaust can I pay you for the shipping so you can send it out for me?:help
