Suspension question

Still trying to learn about performance cars in general. Understand springs and struts but can someone explain to me what the different control arms do? Just want to understand more!

In the front you can get control arms that are lighter for weight savings. And in the rear you can get tubular style that have alot more adjustablility than the stock ones do. If you lower your car you might not be able to get your desired amount of camber with the factory rear bars.

I understand you can get "better" ones, but what is their function within the overall suspension? What do the damn things do? Besides fail eventually. lol

jack up your car, take a wheel off, and take a look. You can pretty much picture what goes on when the car is in motion and hitting bumps, leaning, etc.
