Has anyone taken European delivery of a 335? How big was the $$$ difference? Is it better to lease or buy via European delivery?
Thanks!

the base price MSRP on a 335 coupe is 37760. the options are the same price... just the base price is less expensive. it doesn't make any difference if you lease or buy... the only stipulation is that on a lease you MUST have the car out of europe within 90 days... with a finance contract you have 6 months. if you're only planning on spending a little while over there it won't make a bit of difference. good luck!

On the 335 you'll save approximately $2700 off the base price. Not too shabby. It pretty much pays for the trip and more.... I'm also thinking about European delivery since I was planning on going there next Summer anyways to visit family AND to go to the Soccer Eurocup in Austria/Switzerland!!!!
Yeeahhh!!! :buttrock

You will save much more than the $2700, you should be able to talk the dealer down even more. $800-1500 over invoice should be obtainable. Take that price and subtract $2700 and you have a serious savings!! I just got back from my ED and it was a trip of a lifetime!! I just got the 328 but if you get the 335 where else can you go 155mph LEGALLY!!! Look more into it!!
CHeck out my webpage, some nice pics of ED!!

You're not getting a 335i Coupe for invoice plus. Supply and demand my friend. 328i's will go all day for price negotiations like that, but not 335i's that are back ordered for 4 months in a metropolis like Seattle.
Not trying to be a dick, just saying.

Euro Delivery cars do not come out of the allotments like your car off the lot. People are buying 335's all day for that price over on Bimmerfest, including me.

So apparently you'll receive special license plates while you drive your car in Germany. What do they look like? Are they just like the regular German license plates? And do you get to keep them???

I am picking up my 335 coupe May 8 in Munich. I paid 1k over ED invoice (around 8k under MSRP).

Misinformation.
My sister got a 335i Sedan (equally as rare IMO) in San Diego for about $800 over invoice. I just put in an order for a European Delivery Coupe for around the same price + some dealer accessories. Hey Bill, I'll be there the 9th (flying out the 8th) and picking up the 10th.

You get to keep the front plate and usually the rear plate (you leave the rear plate on the car when you drop it off on the boat) You also get floor mats, saftey triangles and a NICE first aid kit!!! And yes you can get the car for those prices!! If the dealer wont find another!!

No, its information straight from the horse's mouth.
Don't assume deals made available to you in an automotive market like Southern California apply to the rest of the country.
335i Sedans are MUCH more abundant, assuming its a s rare as a Coupe is incorrect.

We allocate a certain amount of cars for European Delivery. You're not telling me anything I don't already know. I lost a deal on a 650i Convertible full Munich sticker, and I lost it because we have no cars allocated to that program.
Like I said, different markets man, different markets.
We can't get enough 335i Coupes to even keep ONE on the lot. We have the largest inventory in the Pacific Northwest, and factory orders are backed up so bad that if a customer placed an order TODAY, they won't take delivery until Lay May, early June.
California is notorious for flooding the market like this.

Your statement makes no sense whatsoever. It sounds like you're with the majority of CA when it comes to understanding the ED process :rolleyes
Cars for ED do not come out of your allocation.
The market has nothing to do with ED's. They cost all dealers the same and the dealer can mark them up the same. There is no supply and demand, there is a supply only limited by how many are ordered.
There is no way to flood the market on an ED. Again, you do not understand the process.

Cool! We're flying in on the 7th, picking the car up on the 8th, driving to Prague for a few days, returning to Munich on the 11th for a factory tour, and then flying home on the 14th. I can't wait! Maybe our paths will cross. I'll be driving the Monaco Blue streak :-)

Are you a salesperson from that dealer in Seattle/Bellevue where a tech totaled a Bf.C member's E46 M3? Did they ever take care of him? :shifty

:lol
I don't understand the process, but I've done several ED transactions!?!?!
1)I realize cars for ED don't come out of our allocation. We have a certain amount of vehicles set for that particular program. When i say "we" I mean my BMW Franchise.
2)California is notorious for market flooding, that comment had no bearing on ED, I aplogize for not making that more clear. I realize this is a thread in realation to ED, sorry for going off-topic. The DEMAND for 335i Coupes in Seattle is MUCH higher than the SUPPLY in Seattle. I was simply saying we don't go invoice up on cars like the 335i Coupe and X5 4.8.
California is notorious for selling IN STOCK units for a % above invoice, minus holdback.
Again, I wasn't refering to ED.
