cd player--help please

my cd player head unit works intermittenly...when it doesnt work the unit still is on..however the speakers emit no sound...

its really weird..i have no idea whats casuing it...

suggestions?

Is it aftermarket? Are you using the stock amp? Need more details.

sony xplod...no subwoofers nothign else added to it..its using the stock bmw system

Sounds like bad wiring...or else your stock amp doesn't like your aftermarket HU.
