I'm looking for some new wheels for my e28 535i, as mine are require old TRX tires and I don't plan to spend $400 per tire in the future. So, I've found some tires that are described as coming off of a 95-01 7-series (e65?), that are 16x8 and share the 5x120 bolt pattern my car uses.
What I'm wondering is if anyone can tell me what else I need to look at to be sure they'll fit my car. Offset, is width an issue, etc.

The wheels are up for auction in eBay listing 120076560850

Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

might need center bore adapters. Im looking into replacing my 86' 535i's 14" bottlecaps... same dilemma.

Those are e38 stock rims. I believe you will only need hub centering rings to make them work. It's a very common upgrade for e28 as well as e34 basketweaves.

Hey, are you the guy that emailed me about the E38 wheels I'm selling in Seattle on craigslist?

Anyway, they're still available if you want them. Cheaper than ebay and with tires, too :) Let me know if you're interested.

Not sure, I sent out several emails to Seattle sellers. If you got a mail from Blake Munroe, then yes, that's me. However, I have a purchase that should be final by tomorrow, so unless it falls through, I'm no longer in need. Thanks for the heads up though :)

Yep, that name sounds familiar. Anyway, good luck with the wheels :)

I'm asking $350 but wasn't really planning to ship them...pain in the ass to pack them, take them to the post office, etc. They've got Michelin tires on them with about 40% tread left. Don't know the exact model of the tires (but I can check if you're interested).
