Ever since I've had my car, I have noticed the airbag light always stays on. In the manual it says when you start the car it should stay on for a few seconds and then turn off. Does this mean that my airbag is always off? Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

You can probably take it to a shop and have them reset the light. I shouldn't be to expensive. Give it a shot.

Ya know, if I had a nickle for all the 'Air Bag' light issue I've seen on this Forum, I'd be a rich man!

i read here in this forum that the airbag light can be turned on due to an overweight persoon sitting in the passanger seat! (Seat belt sensor or whatever)
funny thing is that this is exactally what happened when mine came on
$120 dollars peake reset tool
$ x amount of dollars- trip to the stealership
not letting a fat person sit in your car....PRICELESS

Ask in the regional subforums if someone will let you borrow the reset tool, or if someone will bring one to the next meet. That, or stop by any bmw mechanic and ask if they will do it for free. Don't pay anything to fix it, it takes 5 seconds!
