I have 4000 miles on my 2007 328xi and on at least 3 different occassions, when accelerating from a stop , it seems as the car hesitated, but it did not feel it was due to the engine, it kind of bucked in 4 rapid very short successions, kind of a dragging feeling. the last tiem last night made me worry because I was making a left hand turn and traffoic was coming at me!

Has any of the 328 xi drivers experienced this hesistation before?

Sounds like the tranny but I dont think that anything is wrong. My coupe acts similarly at times. Mine(AT6) shifts smoothly at the upper ranges but does tend to DRAG at the lower ones. I believe it is the combo of THIS engine and THIS tranny.

I have this problem as well with my 335 Sedan. I think it has to do with the cold weather...unless of course you're not in cold weather, but I assume since you have the XI you are. It seems that if the car is not up to operating temperature, the Auto tranny has problems. Now I don't know if this is the Transmission or the Engine, but it's a very jarring feeling...almost like the car is suffering a power loss. You press the gas, it goes for a second, and then it just dies out and finally comes back and sends you off. Very scary.
