'98 328i.
It started last Saturday.
When I start my car, my heater blower runs for up to 2minutes, then stops. It runs intermittently while driving and even if I just let the engine idle. To me, it acts as if somehing overheats and shuts it off.
I am clueless and do not want to rip it out, especially in this weather. Is it possible that the Climate Control unit has an intermittent component? I already did the Cap fix when the Cliumate Control completely blacked out last spring. On another post, I read about a resistor pack? and also a blower relay, but where are they located specifically and How could I troubleshoot them?
All help is greatly appreciated. This forum has been a blessing to me since I bought the car 15 months ago.
Thanx. newsong

Here is the solution I found for my above listed problem. Since the blower would work on all speeds intermittantly, It ruled out the bower resistor pack. So it was either the Final Stage Blower Unit at 90.00 or the blower itself at Hundreds more and lots of installation fun.
For some reason I am not permitted to post links, so here is the partial link for the DIY I found that helped me.. Just paste into your browser. It is the DIY with pics for replacing the final stage blower unit, which turned out to be fairly simple for which I am extremely thankful. ://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3349096

Don't forget to type the "http" (without quotes) at the front of the link.
