Im trying to put the widest tire on my car possible(esp in the back).
Ill be trying to fit F:245/35/18 B:265/35/18 T1Rs soon but Im not sure if thats possible with my Breyton inspirations which are ET38
So Im looking for wheels which are et43-et45mm (in the rear) Anything looking like acs type 3(my first choice), CCW classics,M5 wheels with that offset would be awesome.
This is for my e36 m3 and I will be rolling my fenders.

MVR magnums in 19x8.5's are et43 , I ran them a while ago with 235/35/19's, no rubbing, no rolling on slammed H&R race springs.

So some 40+ mm offset wheels could help with fitting
more wheel/tire?
Stockers are what 38
so 43 offset would put 5 mm toward the inside of the wheel ?
That sounds good on the back tires , but how about on the front with lower GC coils?
any problems ?
How could offset of the wheel be optimized?
front/rear?

Yes, you can run a wider tire if the offset is correct. The higher the number(offset) the more the wheel comes in or tucks. The fronts with et43 were a hair away from touching the front strut housings with 235's. The rear tires didn't rub at all.

Hey thanks for the info ....
For instance though , my fronts right now are , 7.5 with 225/45 on them , with about -2 camber and the look like they need spacers real bad . look like I could fit a 10 mm spacer on there .
what offsett would be better ?
If I were to run 8.5 wheels with 235's or 245's ?

If you were to run let's say 18x8.5's all around with 235's, a good offset would be anywhere from et35-38 to bring them out all the way to fill out the fenders.

Sorry to bring back this thread from the dead.
I have MVR 19x8.5 ET43 all around on my E36 M3 and I am running 245/35/19 in the front and 265/30/19:eek: Falken FK452 tires all around. The rears look really good despite many people thinking they would look wierd. They actually cover the rear wheels quite nicely and don't look overly flapped over. Here is the only picture I have of the car.

I also have a 95 M3 with 8.5" MVR's. I have 245/35/19 on the rear and have slight rubbing when hitting big bumps. How does your 265's fit in the rear without rubbing??:rolleyes
