The clearcoat is peeling on my rpm R505 wheels.. I'm considering getting them refinished in a gunmetal.
Any advice on where to get them refinished?

Call your local Discount Tire (http://dt.know-where.com/DiscountTire/cgi/selection?place=97281).
They have deals worked out with wheel repair shops that give you very good price (usually lower than if you took it to the shop yourself).

Are you kidding me?
LH the best wheel refinisher in the COUNTRY I'd venture to say is in Beaverton.
Skips Wheel Werks. His # is in the NW forum.
I tried to have some wheels refinished by a local wheel company. They painted the rims and did a horrible job. Needless to say, I got my money back.
If you are just getting new clearcoat, I think a wheel shop like LH would work. If you want to refinish the entire rim a new color, that will be more costly. They will have to bead / sand blast the rims to get all the paint off. Then they will paint and clearcoat. I recently had my rims powdercoated silver with a powdercoat clearcoat. I am very happy with how they came out. I found a local Chopper shop that powdercoats and used them.
You may want to go that route. It cost me $100 a rim for powdercoating.
