Trying to find at least 0-60 times and if possible 0-100 and 1/4 mile times for the new 328xi coupe. I can't seem to find it anywhere. (no good sites)

Sorry...it appears that no one pays any attention to the cars without turbos. I would love to find information like that as well.

Yes it does look awesome but if I'm in one I rather people be admiring my backside than my front in their rearview

That's what you buy the 335i for instead of our 328i! However, I have driven some insanely fast cars and the 328i is a really quick car. It is certainly quicker than those numbers suggest. I have not gotten to push hard yet since the roads here in Chicago are terrible right now...salt all over the place. I'm really thrilled with the little bit I've done though. This thing can definitely move so I know the 335i (which I have not yet driven) is just awesome.

Without being biased toward BMW (if you can), how would u make an agrument for the 328xi coupe with MT over say a G35 coupe with MT. Sure the BMW has the german build quality but for someone like me who needs the pure driving excitement (335i a little out of my range), the G35 is over a full second quicker to 60 than the 328xi. Any thoughts?

I have driven both cars, and the easiest way to explain it is this. The G35 coupe feels really fast and is stiff and bangs you around while accomplishing marginally better performance. The BMW (I haven't driven the xi but have driven both the 335i and the 328i), while accomplishing similar performance numbers does so with a lot more grace. If you prefer the hard edged jaw rattling, the G35 may be for you. If prefer to add a little finesse at the expense of acceleration times, than I'd recommend the BMW. It comes down to a matter of personal preference.

I guess I really just have to drive the 328xi. I know it's a BMW and all and German engineering, I just thought my next car would be a little more exciting in terms of performance than my current car

If you want a G35 with AWD, you have to buy the sedan, and you can't get it with MT. I could have lived with a sedan, but the unavailability of manual transmission was a deal breaker for me.

My first argument, which is totally biased :evil2, is that the 3-series coupe is a nicer car overall than the G35. However, since the G35 is already a very good vehicle and you (or I for that matter) would be quite happy with it, I'll try to add a bit to that.
Here is what I like to do...go look at an Infinity vehicle that is a few years old. Look at one that is in the kind of condition you leave your cars in after some use if you can. Then go look at a similarly used 3-series of about the same age. Which one looks like it is holding up better? Which one is has more annoying rattles, creaking, broken buttons...etcetera? Which one simply looks "old?" This is always subjective but it helps me decide whether I'm likely to be happy with what I am buying in a year or two.
While the G35 is faster than the 328, it is not a night and day difference at all, rather it just feels like it is a bit faster...and it is. If you are buying purely for speed you need to buy the 335i if you have the cash. I'm 25 and I don't have it...many others do though and they love it and certainly recommend it over the 328i. As for the G35, I am not really impressed at all. There was a certain lack of excitement about the car. It is fast, has all the features that I might want, looks pretty good, feels good, handles well, so basically everything on the checklist is there. It just lacks that extra something that makes me want to look back at my car every time I park it. The little extra something that makes me want to make an unnecessary trip to the grocery store only to get home and realize I forgot to go to the grocery store. Fast is nice...but Camaros are fast. I don't really want one. Heck, the Jeep SRT8 is a freaking rocket and has 4AWD, but I don't want that either.
I'm not bias just towards BMWs...by a long shot. I'd happily trade my car for a Z06 Corvette, C5 or (of course) a C6, but that'd murder my insurance and bitch slap my wallet in the process. I would love to have an Audi S4, RS6, or a Benz E500 or 550...there are plenty of cars outside of BMW that I would have greatly preferred even if I had to buy a used one. However, I really suggest not just comparing cars based on zero to sixty times...How many times to you really floor it, full throttle, in a given month anyways? If you are looking for bragging rights then you shouldn't be buying a BMW. There are plenty of much faster cars for significantly less money!!

It's the epic struggle between "bragging rights" as you say and just a nice car overall (which is bragging rights of a different type). That's why the ones that have both are $$$
P.S. I was also curious for anyone that has driven both the i and the xi. Is there a noticable difference in the AWD suspension as opposed to the Sport Suspension

I test drove the infinity as well as the 328i/xi. To me, the BMW had better performance, but thats because I define performance as power+braking+cornering+feel, not simply 0-60 times. I dont care about drag racing, but I do care about how the car feels going around some nice mountain s-curves, and to me, the BMW beat the infinity hands down.
as to AWD vs Sport... for me the xi felt just like the i without the sport suspension... smoother and less jaring than the sport suspension, flat around the corners and just nice overall. Personally I would advise against the sport suspension unless you plan to take the car to the track often.
Just my .02 after test driving various 328's multiple times.

I appreciate the advice. Although I've been told that the xi isn't as enjoyable to drive as the i

I drove G35 and found it to have a lot more road noise. As well if practicality is an issue. The 328 coupe is an true adult 4 seater ( thats 4 adults in comfort) something you would be hard pressed to do in the G35 Coupe.

LOL they why did you ask?
Define enjoyable to drive?? I enjoy driving the non-sport better because it doesn't beat my back up as much and I dont have to worry about speedbumps as much...
enjoyable is subjective.
I'm not a kid begging for a speeding ticket, so I will never drive my car in a manner which makes the sport suspension noticable, not on city streets anyway.
