Notice I didn't say "cheap" M5, value sounds more sophisticated don't you think?
Here's the issue. The low beam lights weren't coming on at all when I bought the car. However, just for fun I replaced all the fuses for lights in the box. Ta Da! They came on... then went off in about 2 minutes.
(For those who don't know, this is the $2k M5 on a couple threads in the forum)
Tried switching them off and on again... nothing. Waited about 5 minutes and tried them again, they came on. Then of couse in less than a minute, off again. :mad Waited approx. 10 minutes and tried them, on again. Now it took about 5 minutes for them to shut off.:jedicryin
I think it's a relay myself. Thoughts? If it is a relay, which one is it? I have no info or a source other then the dedicated Forum Family.

Might this be a "LKM" aka light control module, I know they do tend to go an cause headlight craziness... They are interchangeable on a lot of the E34's and I think E32's as well do a search on here, e34net, and ebay.

I'm a nice guy:

Here's another Ebay LKM from a company that rebuilds them, it says a 525 from a 91 will work.
Funny thing, this company is located about 30 minutes from me and I've never heard of them? :cool

For what it's worth:

I replaced the bulbs on my foglights and as soon as I turned them on, they went off [fuse blew]. Tried it with the same amp fuse twice, then went 10amps above it - still nothing. I put the old bulbs back in with another stock fuse and they worked. Took the OEM bulbs out, then replaced them with my new bulbs and same fuse - now they work fine.
