HI all, long time lurker, first time poster. I ordered a 335 coupe on Dec 18th and was told it shipped on the "Aida" (sp?) on Jan 11th. Is there a site other than owners circle where I can see if the Aida actually left port? Assuming it did leave, how long till I should expect its arrival at a U.S. port and ultimately at my dealer in Connecticut?

If anyone is interested, I got a space gray with auto, paddles, premium, sport, heated seats, comfort access, nav/Idrive, and rear sunshade. I got 2000 off MSRP which came to about 48,500 if i recall.

Thanks again for your help. I find the site very informative.

Welcome lurker! :) I am on the AIDA also. It left Bremerhaven on 1/11. It is currently on the way from Sweden to Belgium. The schedule is available by going to this link and entering your VIN.

Just FYI though, it is scheduled into the port of NY on 1/25/07 so your delivery should be about a week after that.

http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp

Once at that site, click on Customer Centre, then Cargo Tracking, then Auto Cargo. Enter your VIN and when the ship information comes up, click on the Voyage identifier.

Thanks a lot!!! sounds like I might have it first week of Feb or so. Not bad for a Dec 18 335 coupe order.

I ordered my coupe on 16 Dec and still have no other status than "on order" on the OC and "scheduled for production, no date available" on the 800 number. Getting anxious...

Mine is: Sparkling Graphite/Saddle/light poplar/6MT/premium/sports/PDC/rear shade/Nav

I ordered mine on December 16 as well, and the same is true regarding the OC and 800 number, however, I asked to speak to someone (not sure what the customer service rep is called) and he told me that mine was scheduled for production on 2/01. He also told me that he wouldn't expect to receive the car in less than 2 months from then. As I posted earlier, I don't need the car before then, but the wait is really killing me.

How did I get so lucky! I ordered on 12/18 and on the boat by 1/13 and supposed to dock in NY on 1/25. Do specific dealers have specific production slots and I was able to snag one of my dealers next spots? Seems odd even in Connecticut, I would expect others had ordered the 335 coupe. Not complaining, just curious.

Yes, most likely your dealer had a spot open in production that he slid you into. The previous posters probably had dealers who had not only committed all of their current production spots but also future ones.

My order worked much like yours, I ordered on December 7 and went into production on December 20. I am on the AIDA bound for NYC on January 26th.

2 things, I think I ordered a weird combo: Deep Green Metallic, cream beige leather, sport pkg, prem pkg and 6mt. According to most other posts on this site and the somewhat pissed off dealer that I leased it from, green is not a particularly popular color. Also, all of my dealers production slots were filled with orders that he had already been taken. Or..............you are luckier than I am.

Monroe is terrific..still a quiet little community and yet I can be in Times Square in an hour and 15 minutes if I desired to. Don't know how long ago you left milford but it is the retail capital (along with Orange) of the state. Every possible store you can imagine. MAkes the post road a mess most weekends.

I left Milford in 1971 (before they built the Jai Alai fronton), but still consider it my hometown. I went back in 1991 when I got back from Germany, and it definitely had changed. Hanging out at the Post shopping center brings back a lot of memories...

I ordered my 335i Coupe in the last week of November 06 and it will not go into production till Feb 07 not sure of the exact date. Each dealer gets a certain allotment and her in Denver the largest volume dealer in region has
a much smaller allotment then other big cities. When ordering ask your dealer what there allotment is and if they have met the allotment number for the month.

Anxiously awaiting

335i Coupe, Space Gray, Coral Red, Gray Poplar, Automatic, Paddle Shifters,
Nav, Comfort Access, Cold Weather, Sport, Premium, Rear Sun Shade..

I am dying waiting for my first BMW:mad !!!!

I ordered mine Dec 29 or 30 and it is on its way-expect it in about 2-3 weeks (end of February.) I guess snowy Michigan is not the place where people are ordering many coupes. I know that my dealer simply configured one of their production slots for my car. Had my production number two days after I ordered it. If you are willing to travel, you might be able to find earlier production slots.

Just got word that my coupe is scheduled to go into production on Feb 8. The person I spoke with indicated that I could see it in my driveway in mid to late March. I'm not sure why having an actual production date has lessened my anxiety but it really has. Good luck to all others waiting.

WTF!?!? I ordered mine in Mid November and only today did it say it was scheduled for production. I hate being in a market area like I am.

It is most certainly by market and by what production slot your dealer can snag for you. As I said above, I ordered my on December 18th, it arrived on the Aida on Jan 29th, arrived at my dealer last Friday and I am taking delivery tomorrow. Not bad, about 6 weeks including xmas and new years. Hope yours comes fast.

I ordered my 335 on Sept 15. The dealer slipped me in to an availble allocation. It arrived in SC on OCT 28th and at the dealership Nov 14th. I drove it home on the 15th.

I just ordered my coupe last weekend. The dealer showed me the screen where he input the order. There were models that were scheduled for production, but that were re-configurable. On my printout, it shows "Status: 112 - Scheduled for daily production pack" So, we changed the colors and added options. I believe mine is supposed to be built the last week in February with delivery the first week in April, though I hope it's sooner!

Anyone know how to track production? I don't have a VIN yet, just a Production #.

Owner's Circle accepts a Production Number.

Owner's Circle accepts a Production Number.

And you can call BMWNA at 1-800-831-1117. The info on Owner's Circle is typically a few days behind so calling will get you the most up-to-date information.

Somewhere on here somebody posted how you can track the transatlantic journey from the GPS on the cargo ship as well.

Once your ship arrives in the US though there is really no way to track except for the Owner's Circle... The 1800 number becomes useless at that point.

Thanks for the help. I logged into Owner's Circle successfully, but the car details didn't reflect my options or colors, so I called the 800 number to make sure I was getting the right car. The customer service rep was very helpful and verified my options and told me that production began this morning. So now I'm totally stoked as the dealer said that production wasn't going to start until the end of the month.

Glad to hear it. Let the addiction begin!! You can track it through every stage of production and then using the WW Logistics site, AISLive, and SAILWX you can track your ship all the way to your port of release.

Once your car is enroute you can give your dealer a call and they will tell you what boat it is on. My car is on the Carmen set to depart Belguim tomorrow and arrive in NY on the 15th. I am counting down the days and cannot wait. It's been a pretty excruciating several weeks.

Quick question, So I tracked my car and it says Halifax -Discharged on feb 8.
So does this mean that is in halifax, checked by customs and off the boat ready to ship out to edmonton?? If so it should be here in about 1-2 weeks ready for delivery:D :buttrock :eyecrazy :redspot
