The car is a 98 m3. I bought the rims from the tirerack.com Fronts fit fine they are 18x8.5 Rial daytona race. The rears however rub they are 18x9.5 with 245/35/18's. 100% stock suspension

I went to Dinan and ask them if they could trim the fenders to make them fit and they said even with a trim they would still rub. He said the rims are way too big for an e36.

I went to my mechanic and asked him about fender rolling and he said it sticks out too far to even try rolling the fenders. He said with a roll and a pull it might work, but you will end up with a messed up looking fender.

So does anyone have any experience, recommendations? Could they have sent me the wrong offset? My mechanic said that with a different offset it looks like they will fit.

Anyone with the same setup without any problems?

Please help guys! I love the look of the Rims I just need them to be functional.

I greatly appreciate any realistic suggestions and or help.

Just messured looks like the rear wheels stick out 2/8 of an inch past the rear fender

The rear offset s/b closer to 40mm. This would bring the wheel closer in, just shy of your 2/8" measurement you provided. You then would probably need to roll fender lips if you rub.

Problem is with your current 35 offset, there's no real safe, recommended way to alter the offset. Only way is to machine off approx. 5mm from the inside mounting surface of your wheel to achieve the 40mm offset. This is not recommended as it changes the load capacity of the wheel and other potential structural integrity issues.
Can you return the wheel somehow and get a different offset? Or maybe go down to 9" wide.

Do you have the same widths and offsets as whitee?

I wonder why yours fit and mine don't. what size tires are you running? are they on coilovers on the back? Could the coilovers provide camber that allow the rims to fit? Are the four door m3 set up with different fenders?

Update- spoke with the tirerack.com they say that they should fit and they want me to send them pictures. so pictures are sent. Now i wait for their answer.

I think the offsets on your E34 are diff from whitee's E36. OEM offset for E36's are around +40mm

Jordan when you put on the rear wheels was the car lowered? If it was lowered by how much?

yeah, when i first installed them the rears where tucking, so i definately need a fender roll, but i dont see why it would such a problem on stock suspension.....i would still rub on some bumps and with people on the car, so i just raised the car up a bit...u should get the fenders rolled, before sending the rims back......oh i do believe i did swap back to stock springs cause i was gonna sell the car, and there was way plenty of clearence, more than now....new shocks tho

hhmmm...that does seem to stick out more than mine....did you clean the hub to make sure the plastic ring sits flush on it? both sides exactly like that? on mine one rim sticks out a little more than the other, i think i may have some worn parts in my car....i'll try to take some pics of my car
