Redish Brown Yuck

Does anyone know what causes this reddish brown yuck to accumulate on the underside of the valve cover? Thanks.

condensed water + engine oil = Redish Brown Yuck

it's not a problem . . that's normal!

red meins iron of some sort, something oxadising

Change the oil and filters more often and you won't have near the accumulation.

Don't use Smuckers 10W-40.
